Step-by-step guide for choosing consent templates or setting up your own consent
This feature is available on the Grow and Enterprise plans.
Companies on the Start plan can still use the default consents, so you're fully GDPR-proof too!
In today's digital wellbeing landscape, handling sensitive health data requires careful attention to privacy and compliance with GDPR (AVG) regulations. At Move To Happiness, we process various types of health-related information, including stress levels, sleep patterns, and physical activity data. Therefore, proper consent management is not just a legal requirement – it's fundamental to building trust with our users.
Types of Consents
Our platform supports three distinct types of consents:
1. Platform Consents
Purpose: These are the foundation of user participation in the MTH platform.
When to use:
- During user onboarding
2. Challenge Consents
Purpose: This consent is required for participation in wellbeing challenges, which may involve the collection and processing of health-related data, including activity and fitness data. It ensures that participants are aware of and agree to how their data will be used to show their efforts and track progress.
When to use:
- Team-based challenges
- Competitions requiring data sharing
- Challenges involving specific health metrics
3. Event Consents
Purpose: To obtain consent for participation in events. This may include registration, attendance tracking, and follow-up communication. Additionally, consent may cover the taking and use of photos or other visual material during the event for internal or promotional purposes.
When to use:
- Workshops
- Teambuildings

Step 2: Click ‘add new’ right above.
Step 3: Add all information
On the left side, you'll find text fields in our three supported languages (Dutch, English, and French). Fill these out carefully as this is what users will see when they need to provide consent.
On the right side, you'll need to specify:
- Name (internal reference for administrators)
- Type (select Platform, Challenge, or Event)
Click ‘Save’
Step 4: Select a consent when publishing a challenge or event
When creating a challenge or event on the platform, you can select which specific consent will be shown to users. This means that when users register for your event or challenge, they will automatically be presented with the appropriate consent form.
Users can view all their consents anytime via their profile: https://app.movetohappiness.com/profile
