How to create, edit and send Emails

Step-by-step guide to changing templates to your own branding, customizing email content, and managing email campaigns

In this article, we will walk you through the process of creating, editing, and sending emails using Brevo-Move to Happiness. This includes setting up templates with your own branding, customizing email content, and managing email campaigns.

Step 1: Editing templates to match your branding

  • Begin by logging into the admin portal and navigating to the 'Brevo' section in the left menu.
  • Navigate to Campaigns - templates.  Choose the template you want to edit.
  • When you navigate to the setup section, you can change the template name, subject line, preview text, from email, and other predefined settings.
  • Transition to the design section to modify the content. The template is organized into sections for English, French, and Dutch. This setup ensures that only recipients who speak the corresponding language will receive the relevant content tailored to them.
  • In the style section on the left, you will find your pre-configured brand library, allowing you to easily begin customizing your templates. Navigate to the content section to upload your own logo, replacing the Move To Happiness logo. To adjust the color of the banner, simply click on it, and you can do the same for the text within the email.
  • You can customize the footer by replacing it with your own pre-configured footer while removing the Move to Happiness footer, ensuring that it aligns perfectly with your brand identity.
  • Make sure to save your changes before exiting to confirm that all elements reflect your brand identity.

Step 2: Sending Emails

  • After customizing your templates, you can proceed to send out your emails. Transactional emails are automatically linked to the necessary triggers, so you don't need to manage those manually.
  • Campaign newsletters and journey emails require your attention for activation and timely dispatch. To initiate this process, navigate to the 'Campaigns' section located in the left menu and select 'Create New Campaign' on the right side.
  • Choose 'Email' and provide a name for your campaign, such as "Move to Happiness November," then proceed to create the campaign. Begin by configuring the sender settings, which are aligned with the default options covered in a previous article on general Brevo settings.
  • Choose your recipients by adding a list or a segment, then save.
  • Add your subject line and preview text, you can even use AI to modify these.
  • Start designing immediately. Different templates with your branding will pop up. Choose one of these templates and make any additional changes if needed.
  • You have the option to incorporate additional text blocks, image blocks, and various other elements into your content as needed.
  • Save and quit once you are done.

Step 3: Previewing and testing:

  • Preview and test your email by selecting a recipient to send a test email.
  • Schedule the email to be sent immediately or at a later date and time.
